How to read a tyre size
It’s printed on your sidewall as three parts — for example 205/55 R16.
205 · Width
Tread width in millimetres, measured sidewall to sidewall.
55 · Profile
Sidewall height as a percentage of the width.
R16 · Rim
R means radial construction; 16 is the wheel diameter in inches it fits.
The R headings below (R12, R16, R18…) group sizes by that rim diameter — start with your wheel size, then pick your exact width and profile.
